    A few years ago we had a need to shore up a 5 volt supply while power was collapsing to give a micro-processor time to finish its task so that it would be stable.  this was an ideal solution. (series diode feeding a 3 volt regulator for the uP)
    For the final solution we went with a smaller value (0.25F from a physical size viewpoint so these are left over from the engineering prototype run. Approx 87 from an initial purchase of 100 are available
