Unusual advertising lot consisting of a tin and wood lithographed tambourine advertisement for The League of Notions, a 1933 satirical geopolitical play with the actual script published in the Melbourne University magazine. Tambourine makes a great sign display and measures 8” by 1.5”. The Hotcha was the Melbourne University Magazine. It features a great art nouveau cover with great period ads inside along with the play. The League of Notions depicts the current worldwide situation and rise of socialism in pre WWII politics. It’s basically a slam to the League of Nations and how they were dealing with the rising political changes in Europe, a fascinating historical lot.
