1941 Medical Ad JOHNSON & JOHNSON Adhesive Plaster NURSE Dr BANDAGE PATIENT WWII

$ 4.75

Availability: 99 in stock
  • Condition: Very good condition. No marks or tears. It was taken from a 1941 nursing journal that was falling apart but this page had to be torn away from the spine so the left edge is a little uneven as can be seen in the photos. It can easily be trimmed. I left it as-is so the buyer can trim it according to their preferences. The bottom edge has a small amount of ruffling. I will store it in a folder beneath a stack of books while it is waiting to be sold. That usually eliminates this kind of minor detail.
  • Time Period Manufactured: 1930-Now
  • Country/Region of Manufacture: United States

    Description

Johnson and Johnson Red Cross "ZO" Adhesive Plaster
It's a treat to find J&J Bandage or Adhesive Tape Ad from medical journals.
They were found more frequently in magazines for the general public.
Great photo of a doctor and nurse applying a bandage to a patient's knee.
    The nurse's uniform,
    the physician's white coat,
    and the
patient's outfit make a scene that looks like
something from an old black and white movie!

Condition is described in detail in the section at the top of the page for that purpose.
The reverse side is a full-page ad for an Iron supplement named HEMATINIC PLASTULES
    by the BOVININE COMPANY.
The company was one of the first producers of dietary supplements starting in the 19th century.
They produced something that was a bit like beef bouillion powder to supplement the diets
of sick patients. As time marched on, they branched out to offer specific supplements.
