This American Majolica miniature urn/vase stands a squat 2” high by 2.5” in diameter. It has a classic miniature spittoon form, perhaps a salesman’s sample. It is glazed in a blended mix of rich, blues and greens and finished to a high gloss with an oil-spot iridized hue. This urn is unmarked, but presents like a Wannopee pot, or perhaps Chelsea Keramics, certainly of that ilk, c1900. It is in excellent condition with a good restoration to a chip at the rim. This early miniature vessel presents very handsomely.
