    Description

    In
    1880 the Dale & Davis “Prospect Hill Pottery” in Trenton, New Jersey,
    was established.
    They were in business manufacturing semi-porcelain and white granite dinner wares until about
    1894.
    Up for sale is a
    very large (
    19 ½” x 14 ½” x 1 ½”) white ironstone platter with the earliest Dale & Davis mark on the underside.
    The weight before wrapping is 6 lbs.
    Condition:
    age crazing; no chips; no repairs.
