Art Nouveau Alvin Sterling Silver Overlay Cranberry Glass 5.75" Vase, c. 1910

This listing is for a lovely cranberry Art Glass vase decorated with Sterling Silver overlay, c. 1890-1910.
The cranberry body is hand blown glass encased with elaborate Alvin Sterling Silver overlay design that covers the entire body with a silver band around the top. The vase has a large medallion cartouche on the lower body engraved with fancy single initial monogram that we believe to be an "L" but please your own judgement regarding this. Also marked on a small cartouche near the bottom with the Alvin Silver trademark stamp and ".999/1000 Fine, R 389, Patented".
Measures 5 3/4" high with a 3 1/8" diameter top and a 3 1/8" wide bulbous lower body. Weighs 9.8 ounces.
Both the glass body of the vase and the silver overlay are in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws although there are some faint no-harm scratches around the foot ring of the base and some minor dings around the silver rim from normal wear.
