Beautifully restored True Temper Kelly Works Red Warrior

This is a neat old Kelly Works Red Warrior Jersey pattern. This was a barn find from North Carolina that had been hanging on a nail for the past 50+ years according to the previous owner.  The handle was broken and it was just easier and faster to buy a whole new axe than re-haft it.  It's unique in that it is pretty small for a Jersey.  I cleaned up up with electrolysis and hafted it on a Whiskey River American Hickory handle.  This is a super-solid hang with a nice walnut wedge.  It was burnished with a torch and treated with Watco Danish oil.  At just over 2 feet long, this is a great camp axe, forest axe or house axe - anywhere you have limited ability to swing is where this one is perfect.  And... this thing is an absolute bruiser.  Great for felling small trees in close quarters or splitting logs for firewood.  Edge is in very good shape.  Poll has ZERO mushrooming, so it has not been abused.  Happy to sharpen if you like.  Please let me know if you would like more pics.  Good luck!
