Billboard Advertising Very Large 8' foot long Tin 2-sided Chesterfield / L&M Advertising Sign - as found
circa late 1940s to 1960s
30 1/2" X 97"
Both sides have rust, holes, bent corners etc. (see pictures)
Chesterfield Cigarettes - "21 Great Tobaccos 20 Wonderful Smokes - Chesterfield King Cigarettes - They Satisfy - Liggett & Myers Tobacco Co." - The five fingers of a right handle gently lift a Chesterfield cigarette out of the middle of a lineup of 20 cigarettes - major color is a dark grape red or possibly a dark red brick color? This side is in much better condition
2nd Side - L&M - "Get Lots More - More Body More Flavor More Taste - The Miracle Tip L&M Filters Liggett & Myers" - It's almost as if Michelangelo's Hand of God is selecting a cigarette. No, really, one right hand holds the pack of cigarettes from the bottom while another right hand lifts a cigarette out of the pack. Unfortunately, this side has a lot more rust. While you can see what's going on clearly enough, the most rust is on the top hand, and the bottom of the cigarette pack - Major colors are red, yellow and blue.
