Excellent heavy bronze plaque measuring 12" x 10", translated from Spanish to English via Google Translate "His excellency, President of the Republic of Argentina, Senior General Juan Person, visited this ship in the Port of Buenos Aires on the 1st of December, 1953"
This would have occurred during his second term but unfortunately I don't know which ship this was salvaged from. Perhaps a very careful and through investigation could reveal what ships were in port at Buenos Aires on the day in question. At any rate it is a very cool piece of history and like all bronze can be cleaned/restored if you choose to remove some of the aged patina.
