Presented is a huge and impressive 800 purity silver vase. This piece is likely of Italian make, and dates to the first quarter of the 1900s. The vase is fabulously hand chased with ornate fluting and scrollwork designs, with fine texturing and detail. The vase is done in an elegant form, with a wide body tapering to a narrower neck then flaring out into a ruffled rim. The vase will hold water, could be used with a liner or flower frog, or it could be used with a dry arrangement, however you like.  The vase is a good large size and makes a dramatic statement, whether displayed with a floral arrangement or on its own.
This piece is in great overall condition. There are a couple of very minor solder repairs near the narrowest point, which are very hard to notice and do not effect the usability of the piece. There are no splits, no leaks, no dents, no monograms, and no monogram removals.
The vase is stamped 800 for the purity of the silver in three places on the top rim and one place on the bottom.
The vase is about 13 inches tall and about 11 inches in diameter across the top.
This piece weighs 1654 grams or 58.3 regular ounces.
