Huge 15 1/4” Trumpet Vase in solid Sterling Silver. It is about 5 1/4" did across the top and bottom.
Discrete monogram in Edwardian style script on base (see 2 pics I posted.. is this a D?
Closed bottom is weighted, probably pitch or plaster as used during the era.
Marked for La Pierre sterling in NY before their later acquisition by International
As with antiques minor tiny ding to lip and some indent to metal on base where interior weighting material has shrunk over time, but vase is still strong, sturdy and holds water.  (See my red roses I received to day).

I am currently using it with my anniversary roses.  Playing around and experimenting with design, I  took a picture to show you how it looks when displaying this vase on my c 1900 cranberry glass plate.  My plate  is mounted with an elaborate applied band of sterling, probably also by La Pierre. See my other auction if you want to bid on this gorgeous large charger/plate.
This huge collectible vase would make a beautiful wedding gift or other gift or use it yourself while entertaining. Great for decorating high end events
