    Description

Cambridge Pottery was made in Cambridge, Ohio, from about 1895 until World War I. The factory made brown glazed decorated artwares with a variety of marks, including an acorn, the name Cambridge, the name Oakwood, or the name Terrhea. Cambridge Pottery's artwares include ashtrays, mugs, pitchers, teapots, vases, and tiles. Cambridge is one of the minor art pottery companies and because they were in business only about twenty years, there is not much to be found.
Here we have a 6 1/4 inch tall vase. This vase is beautifully decorated with green palm fronds. They are well executed and are very realistic. The glaze is pretty dark on this vase so the decoration is difficult to see and photograph. Details can be seen in normal light very easily. Authentic and signed on the bottom.
Wonderful piece in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, a couple of minor scratches to glaze, glaze burst. Any imperfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. No evidence of repair or modification was detected. The white spots are studio light reflections.
Authentic Cambridge Art Pottery with shape number. All images are original and un-edited.
