    20 ¼  x 29 ¾  inches, qualified lithographic woodcut color printing of an acid free. Issued by the Shanghai Ship Manufacture Factory (SSMF), published by the People's Fine Art House of China.
    This is a Chinese Cultural Revolution (CCR) Propaganda poster,
    it edited and accomplished after the woodcut artwork by artists Wenji Chen (1954 - ), Kangfei Cai (1949 - ) and Yunpeng
    Yu, when the artists worked in the SSMF during the CCR. SSMF is an eldest Chinese manufactory in Shanghai, its predecessor can be dated back to 1865 in Qing dynasty. It pioneered the every political movements during the CCR.
    This poster based on the CCR Mass Criticism movement, it is a political movement in the late of the CCR, from 1973 - 1976. The background of this political movement was called the Criticism Biao Lin and Confucius Campaign, the story focused to eliminate remaining thoughts of Biao Lin (1907- 1971, died in the political incident) and
    Confucius (551BC - 479 BC, a prehistoric Chinese politician and philosopher in the Chinese Spring and Autumn period). The poster shown off the internal political struggle and conflict of the Chinese Communist Party in the late CCR.
    The poster titled The Target of The Criticism. The Cartoon figures as Biao Lin and Confucius are the opponents and target.
