CLASSIC LARGE STERLING SILVER TRUMPET VASE by REED & BARTON
Presented is a fine quality sterling silver weighted flower vase from between the mid 1950s-60s. The base is weighted for stability and even the non-weighted part is very heavy silver. This is a very elegant vase with a simple design, which will contrast nicely with the flowers it will hold.
The underside of the base is bears the maker's mark for Reed & Barton, and is stamped 'sterling', 'weighted'.
This piece is in excellent overall condition. There is one repair on the side of the base as shown in the photographs. Otherwise there are no problems. We believe the piece is about 60% sterling silver, as only the base is weighted. The silver of the trumpet is quite heavy, we estimate around 325 grams.
This vase stands 10 3/4 inches tall and has a base and opening diameter of 4 inches.
This piece weighs 540.8 grams or 19.5 ounces.
