CUSTOM RESTORED & INLAID: 18”L Antique Hand Forged Axe Hatchet Hickory Handle.
I RESTORED THIS & CUSTOMIZED ALONG THE WAY
HAND FORGED HEAD 6 1/2” x 4”
WORLD CLASS PATINA
I SHARPENED & POLISHED THE BLADE EDGE
HANDLE HAD A CRACK IN THE BOTTOM 1/3….I restored it & made it rock solid
I INLAID THE DIAMOND PATTERN INLAY
THE HANDLE WAS RESTORED TO THE HEAD WITH EPOXY & A WEDGE DRIVEN IN FROM THE TOP, WEDGE I MADE FROM SOLID AMERICAN BLACK WALNUT, SEALED TOP WITH EPOXY….
THE WALNUT WEDGE MAKES FOR A STUNNING CONTRAST TO THE HICKORY HANDLE
HAND RUBBED MANY COATS OF ANTIQUE OIL FINISH SHOWCASING ALL THE WOODS
