Description
DECORATIVE 1920s LEBKUECHER & CO STERLING SILVER VASEPresented is a lovely, sterling silver flower vase made by Lebkuecher & Co of Newark, New Jersey during the early 1920s. The vase is raised on a pedestal base that is acid etched with a band of flower design, with bell flower accents. The flared rim is done in a fluted or scalloped form. The body of the vase has two bands of design matching the base and swags of embellishments. The front of the vase has a monogram of the initials SD. The base is weighted, although it appears that the majority of the weight is the sterling silver, probably about 60% of the total weight, or more.
The underside is marked with the Lebkuecher & Co hallmark, sterling and retailer’s mark for Hodgson, Kennard & Co.
This piece is in fabulous overall condition and the designs are crisp. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The vase measures 10 1/4 inches tall.
The weight is 507 grams or 18 ounces.
