This is the one event pin that was released during the Dro'Pin event in DLRP on December 22nd, 2007.
This event commemorated the opening of the Tower of Terror attraction in the Disney Studios park in Paris and was held in Studio 1 of the Disney Studios.
This pin was first given as a reward for entering the tombola/raffle, and later sold, but only at the event. The pin was sold out during the evening.
The design of this pin is very much like the DLRP Pin Trading Night (PTN) pins, and it's the second pin NOT officially in this series, which fits in it nicely anyway. The first was pin 40962: Pin Trading Day 2005 (Maleficent).
This pin differs from the PTN pins (AND the Maleficent pin) in that:
- it features an attraction rather than a character
- the banner is a dark blue banner, rather than a yellow/gold banner
- it does not feature a moon in the background
- the stars do not seem to glow in the dark
- the red is a different red colour from the other pins
- the 'pin trading event' text is not in italics, where the 'pin trading night' ('day') text on the other pins is
- the icons of the two parks on the banner are different from the icons used in the PTN series
- the banner has two dots on it's ends, suggesting that it's pinned down
- the banner seems to fold behind the circle, where on the other pins it folds in front of the circle
There were 300 people at the event so presumably 100 were sold.
