    Early French carpenters axe with beautiful hand forging.  The early handle is solid and has great patina.  Axe has a 5 inch edge by 5 1/2 inch head.  The early 4 inch handle is showy and solid.  the axe has the normal amount of wear dings and pitting for an axe this old.  The axe weighs 3 lbs. 3 oz.   Photos are a part of the description.  Please save us in  your favorites, you won't regret it.     We will be listing many unusual and rare items from a 50 year collection.
