    Description

    Rare Colonial "Rings for Quality" embossed double bit axe head. Its a bit rough, but has great patina and overall wonderful vintage character. The logo is somewhat worn, but still completely legible. One side of the bottom towards the bit has a decent chip, but it should by no means affect utility and in my mind ads to the overall character (NOT a sales pitch- I've owned many axes and I genuinely prefer those that tell a story).     I read somewhere that these were originally manufactured in the PNW (Seattle), but never got very far with my research.
