GERMAN WW11 NURNBERG THIRD REICH.RALLY COMMEMORATIVE PEWTER SOUVENIER PLATE

Description

This is an original 8-7/8 inch pewter souvenir plate from the City of Reichs Party Days - Nürnberg. It is one of at least three very similar plates that attendees to the Nuremberg Rallies could buy and take home as their personal souvenier. Around the outer edge of the plate are the words
NÜRNBERG - DIE STADT DER EDLEN KÜNSTE VOLL
(Nuremberg - City of Noble Arts). The six panels on the plate show Nürnberg fortress, the Albrecht Dürer House, the Kaiserstallung, Our Lady's Church, the Fountain on the
Hauptmarkt
or Adolf Hitler Square, and the Henkersteg. There is a triangular loop soldered on the back to facilitate hanging the plate on a wall.
