Edwardian sterling silver golf trophy. Round bowl on conical support with pineapple knop. Raised round foot decorated with chased fruiting grapevine. Precariously perched on rim is cast cupid figure. A chubby thigh hangs over the rim while a hand dangles in midair. A cylindrical bag filled with clubs is looped around one wing. Engraved on front: Women's Handicap Cup / Suburban Club / of / Baltimore County / 1903. Engraved on back: Winners / Miss Julia Guggenheimer / Oct 10, 1905. Hallmarked Jacobi & Jenkins, a turn-of-the-century Baltimore maker. Great regional association.
