Middle finishing whetstone,
Hardness ;  3 of 5.
As no record about stone, where in Japan mined, age , but this whetstone is probably Amakusa or Iyoto as similar wooden pattern sometimes can be seen.
Great for using before  finishing stone. Finishing must be better after using this whetstone.
Of course can use this stone as middle-finishing.
Good for finishing Japanese steel blade knife,  or other small knives
Please note it is natural whetstone, it may contain some scratches, scuffs, that are not influence for use.
