Loetz Vase Antique Art Nouveau Iridescent Bird Austrian Glass Silver Overlay

Description

Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau vase by historic Loetz with engraved pictorial overlay. Globular bowl with upward tapering neck and flat everted rim in silver collar. Overlay in form of swan gliding over the entwined roots of waterlilies and cattails. Oval whiplash cartouche engraved in script "To Florence / and Wick / from Harold". Neck collar engraved "Xmas 1903". Glass is iridescent green. Pontil mark. Condition: Damage to mouth interior. Otherwise good. Sold as is.
