Lonceni Bas~Handmade by Darko Korosec of Slovenia~Ti Pottered Bass~14 cm

Description

Found at an estate sale.  I had absolutely no idea what it was but knew it looked very interesting so home it came.  Below is some basic information I found online:
Ceramic bass is an instrument made of a wooden stick, clay pot and a pig bladder. It is a rhythm instrument. When the player is rubbing the stick with wet fingers so that the bladder resonates it makes a bass sound. The bigger the instrument (the pot) lower the sound. This instrument is an old slovene folk instrument. It is also known in Spain and Italy.

This piece was made by Darko Korosec in Slovenia and comes with the original tag and certificate of authenticity.  Please see pictures to confirm condition.  Measures just over 14 cm tall.
