Chinese Culture Revolution Propaganda Poster, date Oct. 1966, 29 x 20 ½ in., original in good vintage condition. This is a wood carving printing work, a classic young Mao Zedong photograph, short after American journalist Edgar Snow(1905-72) in 1936 in Yan-an, whom first visited Mao by meeting. During Chinese CR time this poster was very popular to emphasis Mao's revolutionary diplomatic line. The calligraphy is Mao's inscription and his poem in 1936. The poem is famous especially as the outstanding sentence as subtitle of this poster said: Yi Dai Tian Jiao, which means Generation Favored that inspired current people from generation.
