Steuben Glass was founded by Frederick Carder in 1903.  Renown as the world's foremost artisan glass house, Steuben glass was hand made by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY.  Steuben glass was frequently the United States’ gift of State to foreign dignitaries.  Steuben marketed no “seconds," items that did not meet their exacting production standards were
    destroyed
by being smashed in a bin.  Steuben--a recognized luxury brand.
