NICE! Vintage/Antique ATHA Tool Co. #441, Wood Splitting Maul Axe Head Stamped 8 (actual weight is 8 pounds 1.2 oz.)
Nice old ATHA wood splitting maul. Some chips and nicks missing from the cutting edge (see pics). The poll end is also missing some pieces of steel (see pics).
The axe head has scrapes, scratches, pitting and dings on it, Just like you would expect to find on a used antique woodworking tool such as this old wood splitting maul (see all pics).The head is 8-1/2" long, with a cutting edge of 3-3/4" wide. The hammer octagonal face is 2-1/2" x 2-1/2". The eye of the axe head is 2" x 1"
