NICE! Vintage True Temper Kelly Perfect Single Bit 3.5 lb. Axe With The Original Handle
Vintage True Temper Kelly Perfect Phantom Beveled 3-1/2 lb single bit axe. The total weight of the axe is 4 pounds and 12.0 ounces. It has the original handle, stamped with "True Temper Finest Quality". (It's very hard to read but it's there (see pic # 12). The total length of the handle and axe head is 35" long from knob tip to the eye. There's some chips and nicks on the cutting edge (see pics). The axe head is 7-1/2" long. The bit/cutting edge is 4 3/4" wide. There is some mushrooming on the poll end of the axe head, along with pitting, scrapes and dings on both sides of the axe head, which is common on a vintage/antique axe head such as this (see pics). The axe head has the 6 "RIBBED" eye (see pic # 7), and it's securely mounted to the original handle (not loose at all). The handle is smooth and free of cracks and splinters (see all pics). Good condition with many hours of use still left in this vintage axe. Thanks for looking. Questions welcome.
