NICE! VINTAGE/ANTIQUE E.C.SIMMONS KEEN KUTTER HEWING BROAD HEAD HATCHET/AXE HEAD
Nice OLD KEEN KUTTER hewing axe head. The cutting edge is very nice with just a few minor chips and nick on it (see pics). The poll end does have some "HAMMER" marks on it and mushrooming too (see pics). The axe head does have some scratches, scrapes, dings and pitting on it, like you would usually find on a vintage used wood working tool, such as this old axe head (see all pics). No breaks or cracks in the steel. The embossed makers mark KEEN KUTTER is still nice and visible (see all pics). The axe head weighs in at 1 pound 13.0 oz. The axe head is 5" long, with a cutting edge of 4-1/4" wide.
Over all this is really a nice small vintage KEEN KUTTER made in the U.S.A. hewing axe head.
