RT. HON. NORMAN WASHINGTON MANLEY ~ Former JAMAICAN PRIME MINISTER
These items have been packed in a box with many other items, untouched and forgotten for many years. I am not a pro seller but simply listing items that have come into my possession. Time permitting, I will list a few items every few days.
1) SIGNED PHOTO - looks like signature and photo were printed at the same time, rather than signature added at a later date after photo was printed, but I could be incorrect. There is a smoothed out crease in lower left corner. No other issues, no tears or marks
2) EULOGIES BOOKLET- September 1969. Eulogies by Rt. Rev. Cyril Swaby, Rt. Rev. Ashley Smith, and Rev. Hugh Sherlock. Booklet has small creases along spine and shows rubbing wear. Top of booklet has slight discoloration by small missing piece, and is a little ragged. Staples have blackened and marked along the fold of the pages, but in no way affects legibility. The center fold page is completely loose from booklet, but not missing anything. There are no tears, marks, dog ears etc.
3) PERSONAL SIGNED LETTER - to DR. AUBREY JACOBS - written 10/1/65 - letter is in perfect condition. Envelope is hand addressed, slightly yellowed, flap has a few smoothed out deep creases, but otherwise intact. ULTRA RARE
4) Newspaper clipping - unknown date - topic “Music was his passion” by Peter Dawson
These items appear to be from a Private Collection of Dr. Aubrey Jacobs, they were alongside a book written by Edna Manley (Norman’s wife). I encourage you to view my listing for Edna Manley and several for Aubrey Jacobs. Both are very notable Jamaicans. Please remember the Eulogies Booklet is vintage and it has a few issues from age.
