Pair Silver Vases Glass Inserts ca 1910 Austrian Import Marks Continental Silver
From the turn of the 20th century come this pair of square glass lined vases in 800 silver. The vases measure 4 3/4 inches tall and are in excellent shape.  This is an intriguing pair to me as they mix styles. The pattern on the silver is an older traditional pattern but the shape and lines in the glass depict a more modern style.  A transitional piece in my view.  Marked with the Austrian import mark and the maker's mark M.M. A great pair of bud vases that are both antique and modern at the same time.
