Plumb double bit axe michigan vintage logging tool

Description

Plumb double bit axe michigan pattern. 3 1/2 lbs measures 10 1/8” x4 7/8”. Very nice La Pierre slim pattern 33” handle. Former owner has stamped the head with the initials J B l and marked the handle with turquoise paint. May have been a timber company or forestry agency. The bits of this axe have been nicely thinned with a file. Some original finish no rust or pitting. Great example of a working mans axe from back when axes were used.
