This sweet little doll is Gertrude, a limited edition wooden doll by Precious Moments. She represents an ( Irish?) immigrant traveling to America. She has her teddy bear companion and cloth travel bag. Her wood based doll stand displays her name on a golden plate and conceals a music box that plays the tune "God Bless America". She stands 12" tall with a wood head and hands on a cloth stuffed body. "Gertrude" has dark blond hair with a braid in the back. Her blue hand painted eyes ar e shaped like tear drops . Her dress is a green and red plaid with little decorative patches on the skirt. Her white sweater has those wonderful brown buttons I've always associated with heavy Irish cardigans. Her scarf is fringed. Gertrude is very well made - even her box has gold print name plate.
