This is the original marketing material for Wayne Gretzky Hockey.  The game itself is not included.  A cover letter by Wayne Gretzky (probably a facsimile, not an original signature), the advertising brochure, and a letter from the then president of Bethesda Softworks.  For the collector, a peek into the past of PC gaming.  This is the actual brochure I received in the late 1980's.
This is a unique marketing ploy that Bethesda used to sell the hockey game.  I haven't seen any of the other computer game sports franchises initially marketed using a letter from the sports personality him/herself.  Marketing is a little bit more sophisticated now, less personal, much more flashy.  A throwback to when the nascent PC game industry was still finding its legs.
Wayne Gretzky Hockey was the first hockey game/simulation available on the IBM PC personal computers.
