RARE Early WWII German Death Card, KIA Sept. 1939 Near Plutwiny in Poland, During 1939 InvasionDESCRIPTION:
Rare original WWII German Death card for a young German KIA in POLAND in 1939. Shown wearing nice steel helmet with National Decal on side. Printed on card that he was a member of the 85th INFANTRY, VERY RARE TO HAVE SUCH DESIGNATION ACTUALLY INCLUDED ON THE CARD!!
Specifically, "Max Heinzlsperger, lance cpl in THE 85 INFANTRY REGT, who died a hero's death on SEPT. 11, 1939, aged 21, near Plutwiny in POLAND. He gave all for his Fatherland." Particularly nice, Large Photo wearing dress uniform AND EARLY STEEL HELMET, with nice NATIONAL DECAL VISIBLE ON THE SIDE.
Nice original way to put a story, life, and face to a scarce soldier, who would otherwise be only a forgotten statistic.
This is in excellent condition overall.
I follow ebay's rules strictly, and no bids will be accepted from Germany, Austria, or any other places where it is unlawful to ship to.
THIS IS ONE OF THOSE CARDS THAT HAS IT ALL!
I try to collect and sell only unique and higher quality WWII and WWI soldier memorial cards rather than the more common ones usually seen on ebay.
Please see my auction list for other unusual ones!!
