    Description

Rare Vintage Cobalt Blue White Handmade Pennsbury Pottery Embossed Bird Flowers Hearts Platter  *** This beautiful oval platter measures 10-5/8" x 8-5/8".     Between 1950 and 1970, Pennsbury Pottery produced decorative crockery in Morrisville, PA, often in Amish and Americana themes.    The factory, its inventory and molds were destroyed by fire in 1971, making the pottery more valuable than ever before.  This rare pattern has been referred to as "Doves of Peace," and features birds, flowers, and hearts surrounding the
    dark blue
rim of this platter.  In very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, but the blue glaze seems to have faded through the white on the center of the platter, and the glazing is faded in parts of the outer rim.  This may have been a factory second; thus, this piece is priced accordingly.  Please examine all photos closely, as they are part of the description.  Thank you for shopping with us!
