RARE! Vtg/Antique CHAMPION KELLY WORKS Connecticut Connie Pattern Axe 29” Handle

$ 19

Availability: 12 in stock
  • Condition: Nice vintage VERY RARE! "CHAMPION" KELLY WORKS Connecticut pattern axe. The patina on the axe head and handle look good (see pics). The cutting edge is still a 100% factory ground edge. In other words the edge has never been sharpened at all after it left the factory floor years ago (see pics). The cutting edge does have some minor chips and nicks on them (see pics). This is a nice and symmetrical axe head that looks very good! (see all pics). The poll/butt end of the axe head does have some "HAMMER" marks on it, and some heavy mushrooming too (see pics). The axe head is securely mounted to what I believe is the original hickory handle. The head is not loose at all, on the handle, but as you can see from the pictures the axe head is not fully seated on the axe handle (see pics). The handle looks like it's in good condition (it would look really good sanded and stained). The handle and axe head have no breaks, cracks or repairs on them (see pics).
