RARE WWII German Death Card, 19 Year Old Youth Severely Wounded DURING ALLIED DDAY INVASION OF NORMANDY, FRANCE, Died During Transport to Paris Hospital
    DESCRIPTION:
Rare original WWII German Death card of young 19 year old soldier who was severely wounded on the INVASIONFRONT, and died during transport to a Paris hospital EARLY IN THE ALLIED DDAY INVASION OF NORMANDY, FRANCE.  This is one of the last cards from my collection of KIA DDAY cards. When they are gone, they are gone.
Specifically, "Michael Schwinghammer, farmer's son, oberschutze in a mountain jaeger regt, who was severely wounded on June 23, 1944, AGED 19, in France." Photo in uniform and overseas hat. Nice patriotic/military helmet and sword depiction on reverse.
Nice original way to put a story, life, and face to a scarce soldier, who would otherwise be only a forgotten statistic.
This is in excellent condition overall.
I follow ebay's rules strictly, and no bids will be accepted from Germany, Austria, or any other places where it is unlawful to ship to.
I try to collect and sell only,u nique and higher quality/rarer WWII and WWI soldier memorial cards rather than the more common ones usually seen on ebay.
Please see my auction list for other unusual ones!!
