Rockman IIB Rev 4 (NEW CAPACITORS) SR&D Scholz Headphone Amplifier

Rev 4 with hard clipping diodes. X100 has soft clipping LED’s. This sounds less Boston and perfect for classic rock such as “China Grove”!
These units are now over 30 years old and no longer being manufactured. I purchase Rockmans to refurbish and resell. You will receive the unit shown in these photos.
Electrolytic capacitors dry out or leak over time as they have a limited lifespan of 20-30 years. All (11) Electrolytic Capacitors have been replaced with Nichicon branded quality capacitors.
All switches and jacks were cleaned and lubricated. Solder joints checked and resoldered as necessary. Both headphone jacks replaced with new jacks.
Unit was functionally tested using batteries (batteries not included).
I have been an electronics technician since 1983. Rockman unit has been fully serviced and ready to use for years to come without needing costly refurbishing.
It is recommended not to store unit with batteries if not being used for a period of time. I have seen what battery corrosion does and it is not pretty! To protect battery cover from breakage, loosen all 3 housing screws before removing cover. Do not pry open!
