SERVICED (NEW Capacitors/Lubed Switches) SR&D Scholz Bass Ace 1990 Headphone Amp
These units are now over 30 years old and no longer being manufactured. I purchase Rockmans to refurbish and resell. You will receive the unit shown in these photos.
Electrolytic capacitors dry out over time as they have a limited lifespan of 20-30 years before drying out and or leaking. All (4) Electrolytic Capacitors have been replaced with Nichicon branded quality capacitors.
All switches and jacks were cleaned and lubricated with Deoxit. Solder joints checked and resoldered as necessary.
Unit was functionally tested using battery and external adapter (battery and adapter not included). Last of the SR&D Rockman line before being sold to Dunlop. This is not a Dunlop revised Headphone Amp!
I have been an electronics technician since 1983. Rockman unit has been fully serviced and ready to use for years to come without needing costly refurbishing.
It is recommended not to store unit with battery if not being used for a period of time. I have seen what battery corrosion does and it is not pretty!
