My cheap compressor from Harbor Freight stopped working so assumed it was the start capacitor on the motor - my experience says it usually is. It was unavailable from HF so I unscrewed the cover, got the part number, googled it and found it was available via ordering from several places but had the best price. A week later I was up & running.
