Sterno Canned Heat Vaporizer (World War One Era)

Description

Here is a beautiful WWI-era Sterno Canned Heat Vaporizer. It was made for the US military to use in hospitals. It was filled with water and Vicks Vapporrub, put over a Sterno, and positioned in between beds to help sick patients breathe.
It is painted in a heavy blue porcelain-coated steel, otherwise known as enamelware. The enamel is in good condition and it still has the original paper Sterno label.
The original vaporizer comes with 3 pieces (this does not include the base), but it's still such a great piece of history! If you are a collector of medical implements, a World War memorabilia collector, or just someone who likes cool-looking US-made antiques, this piece is for you!
