I believe this handle is original but steel shims added later.
It is a very tight fit and has no chips or cracks.
Head is near mint condition with bold etching
Don’t think that hammer has ever took to pounding.
Nice pristine edge!
Probably would make one of the best user hatchets but on a collector’s scale I’d give this a 9 out of 10
