Here's an old hatchet made by BUR-NOR  Burgess Norton Mfg.
This is an all-steel hatchet and was marketed by Burgess Norton as early as 1910.
It was patented in 1914.
Marked BUR-NOR and MADE IN USA on the head.
The rivets that hold the head to the hollow metal handle have been replaced with bolts.  These bolts could be removed and rivets used again to make it look more original.
Hatchet measures about 13" long.  The head is 5 5/8"
