Vintage carpenters axe hatchet hammer POLISHED custom JESSE REED tomahawk handle

Here we have a nice old hand forged carpenters style hatchet head that I cleaned up and mounted up on one of my fully custom hand made hardwood curved tomahawk style handles...…......This hatchet is well beyond sharp, its not a toy and great care should be used when opening the parcel when she arrives as well as great safety and care when in use...........You are buying this piece directly from "Uncle Pimpys Axe Palace" and this is all MY ( Jesse Reed's) handwork.....Now back to business, This axe is approx. 12 inches long and 1 1/2 pounds total weight.............The head has no cracks, huge chips or welds or other related damage.....There were some chips on the hammer face edges but I was able to get them out and feather it in to a nice clean look, you can still see the fractrues in a couple spots but its nothing to worry about and nothing that is going to spread or fall off, its the harded steel and a very very very common thing to find in most heads when you polish them out ( cant see it reall good when rusty and dirty)......I cleaned all of the loose rust off of her and then mirror polished both sides of the razor sharp cutting edge as well as the hammer face and left all of the other age marks and natural patina in her, I think it makes for a killer detail effect to see the polished steel up against the naturally aged steel...............All in all a cool old head and I hope you see the same beauty in her that I do............Like I said this axe is sharp so she should not be considered a toy at any time, if she hits a finger or toe it will remove it...............The handle is one of MY classic shapes and is all made by me, by hand here in Hauser Idaho at the world famous " Uncle Pimpys Axe Palace"......The handle is made out of one piece of solid Hickory…...........I set the head using both wood wedges and epoxy and got a nice tight fit that looks good on both the top and bottom...........I sanded the handle silky smooth and used several coats of clear enamel for the final finish.............Please ask questions.....I do combine when ever possible....cheaper on you and easier on me....shipping quoted in auction is intended for the lower 48 United States only....all others may be more.....by bidding on this axe you verify and confirm that you are over the age of 18 and that seller(myself ) is not liable for injury or damage that may occur from use or misuse of this axe.....................................To all who may be interested...Look for "Uncle Pimpys Axe Palace" on facebook for more pictures and other odds and ends....thank you and good luck.......I am giving you the option on shipping of either parcel post or priority, I recommend priority because it reduces the chance of damage in transit, but its up to you, please specify when you pay witch shipping method you want, either way I will insure the parcel at my cost.......... ......................BY BIDDING ON OR BUYING THIS AXE YOU ARE REALLY SUPPORTING HONEST SMALL BUSINESS AMERICA, AND FOR THAT I THANK YOU!!!!!!!........BE GOOD HUMANS!!!!......THANKS AGAIN FOR SUPPORTING THE SMALL HONEST GUY, JESSE \m/................
