Vintage COLLINS AXE COMPANY AXE w ORIGINAL LEATHER SHEATH - UNUSED

Description

This is an original vintage, but never used, axe manufactured by the Collins Axe Company of Collinsville, Connecticut. Collins Axe began manufacturing high quality axes in the 1800s and competition finally forced them to close in 1966. This axe is 26" long with the original branded hickory handle, and the head has it's original black painted finish and factory sharpened edge. It is complete with the original leather sheath for the axe head, as pictured, and it weighs just under 3 pounds. Considering that this is no less than 55 years old, and probably older, it is a remarkable find in like new and unused condition. No one has ever cut a limb or split a piece of firewood with this axe. This was just found in Connecticut. Shipping is calculated Priority mail.
