    Description

    The only marking is "US". Lots of usage marks but no chips or cracks. A bit of "mushrooming" on the face. Nice edge. Weighs 1 lb. 6 oz.  Measures 5 1/4" long. 3 1/8" at the edge. I removed this from a broken handle and the handle had a nail through the small hole that extended out the other hole and was bent like a cotter pin to help secure the handle. I have not seen that before on hatchets, thought it interesting.
