Vintage Pike's REVERSIBLE OILSTONE BOX; Original Labeled & Hinged Box

Description

This is a very uncommon old Pike's production piece that contains two (2) separate oilstones, each being attached with a "set screw" to a metal plate that can be "flipped" over to access whichever oilstone is desired.  Alternatively, the box can be opened to access one oilstone, and then the entire box "flipped" over to access the other oilstone.
This piece is in overall EXCELLENT condition in my opinion.  The box has no chips or cracks, the oilstones have no chips or cracks, the hinges on the box are all working and in stable condition, and the box even still has its original felt lining on "both lids" (depending on which side is being opened.  The original writing (painting, decal?) on one side of the box is still in VERY GOOD ++ vintage condition.
The only shortcomings worth mentioning are that one portion of the latch that would keep the lids secured is absent.  Also, the "paper label" on one of the lids is partially missing (photo #9).  However, regarding the "missing label",
it is interesting to note
that beneath this label appears to be additional labeling that was applied (paint/decal?) at the factory.  My guess is that one part of this verbage is "PIKE'S" and another part is likely "WASHITA".  I leave it up to buyers to decide.
