Vintage Plumb National Pattern Throwing Axe - Hatchet With Original Wood Handle

What you have a chance to bid on is this beautiful vintage plumb National pattern throwing hatchet/single bit axe. It’s marked with the plumb stamp and is still very clear and easy to read. The wood handle is stamped “ plumb tested hickory U.S.A “ but it is somewhat hard to read. It measures 16 inches in total length with a cutting edge that measures 4 inches wide and the head is 6 1/4” long. The cutting edge is still in great condition and only has 1 or 2 very small nicks. There is no rust and this hatchet is very clean. There is a crack in the bottom part of the handle but the handle is still strong. The head is still very tight to the handle but there is a small amount of up and down wobble. The back of the hatchet has slightly bent over and there are some marks on said area. There are no extra screws or widgets added and the top of the hatchet looks very clean. There is a slight red tint to the bottom of the handle although it isn’t that noticeable.
