    Description

    From John Stanley Antique Tools -
    Vintage Sater Banko axe head on a replaced handle.  Made in Sweden this will make someone a fine user axe.  Measures 29 1/2" long.  The head measures 6 3/8" long with a 3 5/8" wide cutting edge.  Total weight is 3 1/2 lbs.  Not sure of the weight stamped on the head, it looks like it could be 2 1/2.  As shown a previous owner drilled a 3/16" hole through the head so it could be pinned to the handle.  Also, the inside of the butt end of the handle has a rough spot.  Otherwise all good.
